SCAM ALERT !

Somebody has been emailing private teachers offering to pay in advance for several months of classes with a cheque (it can sometimes be a bank transfer). They also might ask for your full name, address and fixed phone number.

Then the scam works by them suddenly needing you to refund their cheque by transfer/cash, and of course the cheque/transfer does not work and you have lost the cash.

If somebody offers to pay you up-front for a large amount of classes (apart from in cash of course), then it may well be fraud.

This is a VERY rare occurrence for our site (we very carefully curate the site for idiots!) but please report any such cases to us at info@lingobongo.com
