Native English teacher for a school in the centre of Madrid
We are a school located in Embajadores and we are looking for a native English teacher with legal working status in Spain to join our team in January.
You will be expected to plan and give your own classes so experience and a true desire to work in education is necessary.
The job:
- Part time, 9:00-13:00, Mon-Fri
- 19 teaching sessions plus one English Department meeting per week
- 3 sessions in the Escuela Infantil (1-3 year olds) giving introductory English
- 6 sessions in Segundo Ciclo de Infantil (3-5 year olds) giving 'science' classes (working on concepts and vocabulary in their Spanish book)
- 10 sessions in Primary giving drama and science classes to various groups (science is taught in Spanish but with 1 complimentary class in English per week)
- No morning playground duties but 1 hour per week of lunchtime duty (lunches are then free all week in return)
The benefits:
- Work contract allowing you to pay tax and social security
- Salary (part time) of 'Profesor/a de actividades extraescolares' which is protected by the Convenio de EnseƱanza Concertada
- Full pay every month of the year (summer included) and a bonus in December and June (14 pays per year)
- 5 free lunches in return for 1 hour of lunchtime duty per week.
- 30 minute break every day

Requirements:
- Native English speaker with a degree
- Full legal status to work in Spain
- A passion for education and teaching English
- Experience teaching and working with children
- A desire to begin a job with a future, this is not a 1 or 2 year programme but a career
- It is preferable that you speak some Spanish for communication with other teachers
