English TA Placement in Madrid Alcalá de Henares

Up International offers paid Teaching Assistant placements in schools in Spain, combined with official training in Early Childhood Education.
This programme is designed for native or near-native English speakers who want to gain practical classroom experience, support students’ English learning and develop their professional profile in education.

Location: Madrid-Alcala de Henares
Start date:  15th September  2026
End date:  12th June 2027
Teaching hours: 21  hours per week to be completed from 9.00 until 13.30
Educational stages:  Preschool (3-6 years old)
Monthly grant: €870 per month
Meals: Free daily lunch included at the school
Full medical cover through the Spanish National Health System

Role: The Teaching Assistant will support the main teacher in developing students’ oral English skills, either in the classroom or with small groups of 8–12 pupils. They will prepare their own engaging activities and lessons, such as stories, songs and games, with guidance from the English Department and school coordinator, while also collaborating in departmental activities and encouraging the use of English throughout the school.  

Training: The placement is combined with official training in Early Childhood Education.

Candidate profile: Native or near-native English  speaker, preferably with an interest in education, good communication skills, flexibility, responsibility and motivation to work with children.

Requirements: Legal permission to live or study in Spain. Previous experience with children will be valued.

Support provided: Personal and administrative guidance throughout the programme, including support with documentation, accommodation search and adaptation to the school placement.
