HUMANITIES TEACHER

Located in La Moraleja, in the northern area of Madrid, Liceo Europeo American Schools is an American high school that offers a balanced approach to learning in a diverse and inclusive environment with class sizes that average from 10-15 students per class.

We are seeking an inspiring Humanities teacher who develops students’ inquiring minds and gives them the hands-on skills. Teachers are encouraged to immerse students in collaborative learning experiences, critical thinking skills, and evidence-based explanations.
The philosophy of the school aims to engage the students in real world problems, allows them to explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate their own findings. English Language has evolved from a content-based focus to a performance-based program where students learn English content through interactive inquiry-based activities, projects and discussions.
The position requires maintaining a full teaching load, serving as an advisor to a small cohort student, and active support of various student life activities. 
We seek a dynamic teacher who inspires students and should embrace working collaboratively and creatively with colleagues in shaping various curricular areas and divisions. Candidates should be passionate about teaching and have a love of science and high school-aged students and have a desire to share and collaborate with colleagues across all subject areas.
