English Teaching Assistant Placement in Madrid Sanchinarro– Starting in September
Up International offers paid Teaching Assistant placements in schools in Spain, combined with official training in Early Childhood Education.
This programme is designed for native or near-native English speakers who want to gain practical classroom experience, support students’ English learning and develop their professional profile in education.

Location: Madrid- Sanchinarro

Start date: 14th  September 2026
End date:  11th June 2027

Teaching hours: 24  hours per week
Educational stages: Primary

Monthly grant: €1.110 per month
Meals: Free daily lunch included at the school
Full medical cover through the Spanish National Health System

Role: The Teaching Assistant will support Primary students aged 6 to 12, working alongside the main teacher or with small groups to improve their spoken English and prepare for Cambridge speaking exams. The role also involves creating engaging classroom materials, collaborating with the English Department, using English throughout the school day, and adapting flexibly to support other educational levels when needed. 

Training: The placement is combined with official training in Early Childhood Education.

Candidate profile: Native or near-native English  speaker, preferably with an interest in education, good communication skills, flexibility, responsibility and motivation to work with children.

Requirements: Legal permission to live or study in Spain. Previous experience with children will be valued.
Support provided: Personal and administrative guidance throughout the programme, including support with documentation, accommodation search and adaptation to the school placement.
