Teacher of French
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.	To help ensure that a high standard of physical and emotional care for all children is upheld.
3.	To prepare lessons, tests and examinations, teaching resources, etc.
4.	To attend all department meetings, playing an active part in the department and contributing to decision making.
5.	To mark pupils´ class/homework, examinations/tests in accordance with departmental criteria.
6.	To duly record work completed, assessments, in a format agreed upon at school and/or department level.
7.	To inform/consult form teachers as required concerning relevant problems experienced by pupils.
8.	To communicate promptly with parents, where necessary, concerning progress or lack of it, either at the teacher’s or parents´ request.
9.	To contribute in promoting good order.
10.	To be a tutor when required, to actively support the whole realm of pastoral work.
11.	Contribution to record system by informing tutor(s) of the outcome of parent – teacher interviews.
•	Completing report mark sheets and pupil reports.
•	Filling in confidential pupil record cards. 
12.	Classroom Organization
To contribute actively in helping ensure that agreed criteria for classroom organization are upheld, maintaining classrooms safely, tidily and attractively.
•	Preparing wall displays.
13.	School Organization
Undertaking appropriate discussion/consultation with Deputy Heads, Heads of Department, and Subject Heads concerning matters of school organization: timetabling, school events, excursions, duties etc.
14.	Staff Room Notice Board
Checking staff room notice boards/online notice boards daily for relevant information.  
15.	Duties
Performing appropriate duties conscientiously, following school criteria and a general supervision of pupil punctuality to classes.
16.	Supervision of pupil attendance (registers)
17.	Attempting to keep up with new developments in the subject, be they related to content or methodology; attending such courses/conferences as may be available.
18.	To be fully involved with the life and work of the school and to further its aims and objectives, recognising that this may involve work which could be undertaken outside of school hours.
19.	Adhering to policies/rules pertaining to general or more specific aspects of school organization; maintaining professional discretion at all times in matters relating to pupils, parents and fellow members of staff; upholding the reputation of the school in a professional manner.
