Academic writing skills teacher (for Proficiency exam)

I am a professor of Academic Writing Skills at the Instituto de Empresa (IE) where I have been teaching this subject for the last 4 years. My specialization is teaching students how to construct argumentative essays based on academic sources; how to structure them in terms of organization, argumentation (following the Toulmin model) and style (suitable for academic writing both in terms of vocabulary as well as the tone and sentence structure). The course has been continuously developed and improved over the last 3 years while I have been teaching it at the IE.

The syllabus looks like this (although it can be adjusted to the needs of each student):

Session 3: Research: credible sources
Session 4: Research: Sources & Citation
Session 5: Research – Incorporation of Sources (QPS)
Session 6: Intro to Argumentation
Session 7: Essay structure: intros & conclusions
Session 8: Essay structure: paragraphs & transitions
Session 9: Intro to Style
Session 10: Advanced Style
