UCETAM: Creative Secondary English Language Assistant

UCETAM is looking for a creative Native English Language Assistant with experience teaching English to Secondary Students (1°ESO-4°ESO). The English Language Assistant should be comfortable teaching 12-year-olds up till 16-year-olds in a classroom environment. Typically, class size is between 25 to 27 students. The position will start A.S.A.P. The English Language Assistant should be passionate about teaching/feel comfortable to help lead and plan 25 hours of classes per week. The ELA should be able to help design rewarding English classes. Most importantly the English Language Assistant knows how to connect/relate positively with teenagers.

The scholarship position is 26-hours for 1,300€ net scholarship stipend (free public healthcare and free lunches). The permanent class schedule is: Mondays (8:30-17:15), Tuesdays (9:20-17:15), Wednesdays (8:30-10:10), Thursdays (8:30-16:15) and Fridays (10:10-12:30). The school location is just a 23-minute train ride from Atocha .

Requirements:

(1) Be a NATIVE English Speaker and HAVE a Degree from University/College

(2) IMPORTANT MUST HAVE EITHER (3) a European passport with a Spanish N.I.E./T.I.E. or (2) Non-Europeans must have the Spanish T.I.E./N.I.E. card that will not expire until after the 14th of June 2019 or Student T.I.E./N.I.E. through a Program that does not expire until after the 14th of June 2019 or have the actual document (Resguardo- receive your TIE/NIE card within 45 days)

(3) Proof of no criminal record by obtaining a Certificado de Delitos de Naturaleza Sexual. Also proof of no criminal record from your native country.
