Romeo and Juliet

English Theatre Madrid is delighted to announce our production of Romeo and Juliet in this, Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary. One of theatre's most iconic couples, caught between their two feuding families whose inability to forget the past gives rise to tragic consequences.

Our production is set in London in the 1980s - a time of decadence and decay; of energy and inequality. This concept offers a fascinating political backdrop to a production that will be fast-paced, inventive and utterly heart-wrenching.
