Summer Camp Monitor 2016
Job Description:
King’s College International is recruiting for its Summer Camps in Spain for 2016. We are looking for Monitors who are experienced in traditional sports (football, tennis, etc.) as well as have some familiarity with non-traditional sports as well (surf, mountain climbing, etc). We also ask that applicants be able to participate in creating creative weekly and daily projects which maintain our students/campers motivated and interested in learning English.
Monitors must be able to speak in English during the entire course of the day.
We are looking for teachers to fill positions in Madrid, Cantabria, Castellón and Punta Umbría.
Those who are selected for camps in the Madrid area will also work within the classroom in partnership with a teacher and will have access to numerous materials for arts and crafts and weekly projects. There are smartboards in every classroom, so familiarity with their use is essential to being selected for a position.
Monitors who apply for and are selected for camps outside of Madrid must but be or have been an active participant in sports, particularly those associated with mountain and water activities. External camps are what we refer to as a “24 hour role”. You will be there to wake the children up, escort them to their meals, participate and organize activities for them, go on excursions, participate in adventure as well as night games and be a role model to the children who attend the camp. Please take into consideration that this is a highly gratifying experience but not for those who lack patience or are uncomfortable spending large portions of their day surrounded by children.
*We also accept Monitors who need to fulfil their internship hours.
