Teaching Assistant Placement in Moncada – Valencia

Up International offers paid Teaching Assistant placements in schools in Spain, combined with official training in Early Childhood Education.
This programme is designed for native or near-native English speakers who want to gain practical classroom experience, support students’ English learning and develop their professional profile in education.

Location: School in Moncada, Valencia
Start date: 8th September 2026
End date: 18th June 2027
Teaching hours: 24 hours per week.
Educational stages:  preschool and  Primary (3-12 years old)
Monthly grant: 1.130€ 
Meals: Free daily lunch included at the school
Full medical cover through the Spanish National Health System

Role: The Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to support students through cooperative teaching, small-group activities, games, storytelling and other engaging resources. The role also involves preparing activities and materials, encouraging the natural use of English throughout the school, and sharing aspects of their own culture. Creativity, initiative and active collaboration with the teaching team are key parts of the position. 

Training: The placement is combined with official training in Early Childhood Education.

Candidate profile: Native or near-native English speakers, preferably with an interest in education, good communication skills, flexibility, responsibility and motivation to work with children.

Requirements: Legal permission to live or study in Spain. Previous experience with children will be valued.

Support provided: Personal and administrative guidance throughout the programme, including support with documentation, accommodation search and adaptation to the school placement.
