Head Teacher with growth into Academic Lead

About Us
We are a creative English academy in Barcelona working mainly with children and teenagers, alongside exam preparation and adult students.

We believe learning should be engaging and practical. Our classes combine language learning with creative workshops and hands-on experiences.

We are looking for a Head Teacher someone who loves teaching, enjoys supporting others, and is ready to grow into an academic leadership role.

You will continue teaching while gradually taking on greater responsibility supporting the academic side of the centre.
This role would suit an experienced teacher who:
Enjoys being in the classroom
Naturally supports and guides colleagues
Takes initiative and looks for ways to improve
Enjoys creating engaging materials and projects
Is ready to step into leadership with support and growth
TEFL / CELTA qualification essential.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching young learners, teenagers and adults
Delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
Modelling strong classroom practice
Supporting and mentoring teachers
Helping organise teacher meetings
Contributing to lesson content and workshops
Supporting academic content for holiday camps and special programmes
Monitoring teaching quality and suggesting improvements

What We’re Looking For
Minimum 4 years teaching experience
TEFL / CELTA certificate
Experience teaching children (from 3 years) and teenagers
Strong classroom management
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Confidence communicating with teachers, parents, and management
Creative approach to learning
Interest in curriculum development and project-based learning
Desirable:
Mentoring or teacher training experience, curriculum development experience, holiday camp experience, DELTA qualification.
