We are currently recruiting for teachers to join us starting September 2017 until the end of June 2018. We are a centrally based academy with students ages ranging from 3 years old to over 70 with a variety of levels. We have been open since September 2015 and have enjoyed a steady growth during the last two years. In total there are seven teachers working with us, although unfortunately some are leaving us next year. Some of our teachers work on a part-time basis (from 10-15 teaching hours per week) with others on full-time, 22 teaching hour contracts. Therefore we welcome applications for candidates looking for both part-time and full-time employment. We are a Cambridge examination preparation centre as well as a Trinity examination centre, so experience with these exams is very highly valued and will be beneficial to your application. Furthermore, we also prepare students for IELTS, TOEFL and APTIS exams so experience is these examinations is also desirable. We offer block hours in the academy as well as some morning classes if desired. Teachers don't normally have classes on Fridays, although some are reserved for parent meetings. ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A SUMMER WITH A DIFFERENCE? Midleton School is offering you a fantastic opportunity to experience life in the Spanish countryside. We are currently looking for English teachers to work on our annual kids’ summer camp (6-12 years old) in the province of Ávila. THE JOB The contract is from Saturday, 24th June to Sunday, 23rd July inclusive. Teachers will be responsible for teaching class in the morning, Monday-Friday, while outside of class you will remain central to the camp, participating in the different activities, chatting with the students at mealtimes etc. Teaching materials will be provided as well as return transport between Madrid and the camp. Teachers will also receive full board and accommodation for the duration of the contract. THE CANDIDATE We are looking for energetic and dynamic individuals who are looking to spend their summer in a fun-filled and exciting camp environment. TEFL qualification (e.g. CELTA; TESOL; TEFL) and experience working with children are essential. Spanish working papers and Spanish social security number are required. THE CAMP The camp takes place on an eco-friendly farm school, located in the foothills of the Sierra de Gredos, Ávila (2 hours from Madrid). Our aim is to create a friendly and nurturing environment for campers to learn not only English, but also about the natural environment that surrounds them. Students will attend 3 hours of lessons each morning (Monday-Friday) while their afternoons and evenings will be filled with an array of activities (e.g. archery, orienteering, pottery). Campers will also help out on the farm (feeding the animals, planting crops etc.) and will go on three weekly excursions which include a trip to the local swimming pool, a visit to the mountains, and a sightseeing tour of Ávila city.
