LANGUAGE ASSISTANTS WITH HOST FAMILY IN SPAIN 2015/16

The grant program offers a monthly allowance (300€ to 450€), full board accommodation and the opportunity to learn a new language and a different culture. Recent graduates and gap years preferred.
Accommodation:
The language assistant participating in this program lives in a host family linked to the school while participating in the program, having his/her own room.
The families don't receive any payment; they take in the resident guest as an additional member of the family. They participate in the program in order to have the experience of using your language and learning about your culture which is why they are happy to collaborate with the program and host you. Therefore, enthusiastic and active participation in family life is very important. 
What does a language assistant do?
• Deliver conversational English lessons during the requested weekly hours.
• Encourage oral practice in English.
• Explain the culture of your own country.
• Play games, sing songs... (if with pre-school or elementary levels).
• Help in other subjects apart from English such as science, art, sport.
• Act as a role model for correct pronunciation and grammar. 
• Collaborate with teaching staff in creating teaching materials and planning lessons.
