Be careful with this Flat on Cea Bermudez 15, 4e
Please be careful. You might have answered an ad to see a flat where a German girl lives. There is no German girl. There's an old man in his 50's, Javier. He lives alone and has trouble renting out his flat. here's why:
There are 2 free rooms, no deposit and you can stay for however long you want. once you move in, you realize it's an awful place.
- The room that was rented to me was dirty.
- He told me there was a German girl living there, but I've never seen her and people keep coming by to possibly rent the room.
- The fridge smelled like mold and then 3 days later it broke down. I told the guy about it and he said he didn't know anything about it.
- I did my laundry and the machine wouldn't get rid of the water.
- There is no heating in the house.
- The internet is stolen from the Uni building next to this flat. It's slow and you have to use a student's stolen password and username.
- The water is cold. He puts the small water boiler on a low. your shower with warm water will last about a min or 2.
- The shower head doesn't reach the shower-head holder, most of the time you'll be freezing even if you have warm water.
- The flat smells bad and is NEVER cleaned.
- The guy has the keys to the flat but wont open the door, so sometimes when you're sitting in your room you hear someone trying to break into the flat. No one is actually trying to break in. It's him trying to get in by picking the lock. He's been doing this for years. There's basically a developing hole between the door and the door frame around the lock.
- he leaves little folded up tissues everywhere around the flat which I think he uses to scrub things because he's super germaphobic (also the reason he can't get into his own flat despite having a keys).
- The photos he uses on lingobongo and idealista are fake!!!
- The water boiler broke and started flooding the kitchen. I came home in time and turned off the water so that at least the flat below us wouldn't flood. He blamed me for it because he said I set the boiler on the RED zone and the red zone means "danger".
I told him I was leaving immediately bc there was no water. and he blamed me for breaking the fridge, the laundry machine and the boiler.
If you move in with him and the fridge, the laundry machine, and the boiler are broken, it will be your fault. Even if you've only lived with this guy for a week.
His name is Javier. Calle Cea Bermudez 15, 4th floor.
Don't live with him.
