From Scottish & Newcastle, formed from a 1960 merger between the Youngers and McEwan breweries and Newcastle breweries. It has continued to buy up other British brewers like Theakstons and Courage. Now includes the Kronenbourg, Foster's, & John Smith's brands. In 2008 bought out by Carlsberg and Heineken.
