Summer Camp Position

Dates: 
Session 1: July 1 to July 15 - You must arrive by 4 PM on June 30 to Plasencia, Extremadura.
Session 2: July 15 to July 29 - You must arrive by 4 PM on July 14
We’re currently looking for people interested in working both sessions or 1st session.

Location: Caminomorisco, Extremadura. 

Age of campers: 
2º ESO (13-14 years old)

Pay rate: 1000€/ both sessions
500€/ 2 weeks
 
Lodging: 

Student residence in Caminomorisco. 3-4 people to a room. No sharing of room with campers. There will be laundry facilities as well as Wifi.

Focus:

Each 2 week session focuses on completing 50 hours of English language instruction through dynamic and fun activities. The main theme will be Extremadura and the sounds of the region. Every 1-2 days, there will be a more specific theme such as: footprints of our past, myths and legends, the people of Extremadura and daily life, the native inhabitants, culture, the region and natural environment).

Each week there will be a day trip on Saturday.

Schedule and Activities:

The portions of the schedule highlighted are more flexible and will vary greatly: water sports and games, arts and crafts, sports, swimming, short hiking routes, workshops. etc. There will also be a variety of nighttime activities.
 
Pros of this camp:
Campers are highly motivated. They have been selected by the regional government to attend camp because of their excellent grades in school.
Staff to camper ratio is 1:4 or 1:5
Staff works in teams during activities
Rest will be provided on a rota for counselors.
Beautiful surroundings and a chance to be in nature as well as go on day trips to nearby areas on Saturdays
Payment is made in cash or transfer at the end of camp.

Things to keep in mind:
Camp is strenuous and requires you to be flexible and to adapt to changes.
Camp is a 24/7 job
Extremadura is very hot during summer, but you will need something warmer for the evenings when it may get chilly.
You should feel comfortable working as part of a team (there will be approximately 100 campers)
You should be comfortable sharing ideas and participating in all activities.
You should be someone that enjoys nature.
