Residential Camp Director - July

Midleton School is offering you a fantastic opportunity to experience life in the Spanish countryside. 

We are currently looking for a Camp Director to work on our annual kids’ summer camp (6-12 years old) in the province of Ávila. 


THE JOB

The contract is from Saturday, 1st July to Sunday, 23rd July inclusive. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of our Gredos Summer Camp programme, which entails administrative, academic, and social duties. 

There will be some preparation work required in the run up to the camp, for which you will have the support of Midleton School staff. 

As Camp Director, you will receive competitive employment conditions, return transport between Madrid and the camp, and full board and accommodation for the contracted period.


THE CANDIDATE 

The successful candidate will be a responsible, hard-working and dynamic individual who is well-organised and confident. Previous experience working in a similar position as well as experience working with children is essential.

A demonstrable C2 level of English (Cambridge CPE or equivalent) and C1 level of Spanish (DELE C1 diploma or equivalent) are required, as are TEFL qualification (e.g. CELTA; TESOL; TEFL), Spanish working papers and Spanish social security number. 


THE CAMP

The camp takes place on an eco-friendly farm school, located in the foothills of the Sierra de Gredos, Ávila (2 hours from Madrid). Our aim is to create a friendly and nurturing environment for campers to learn not only English, but also about the natural environment that surrounds them.
