Sadly, I have to say this, Making money in this country in general is getting worst and worst, specially for English teachers. With all holidays going on in this country and obviously so many schools won't pay holidays nor will they pay on time anyway. As such, most of us don't feel sense of security anymore with this lucrative business of many schools these days. My advise to anyone planning to stay here for long time is that you will need more than one skill to survive here. In addition, If you happen to find a very good and reliable school to work for, please stay wherever you are and stop jumping around schools assuming you get more money. That is a common mistake lot of people make these days, specially inexperienced teachers. As for private students, Spanish culture is based on trust among Spanish people. So keep your your private students and stay close with them because they will refer you to more people. Personally many schools must go out of business because this has become a lucrative business and not taking care of teachers well but rather better themselves. That is a reality occupying our minds these days.
