My English for Basic Portuguese

I am looking for a new friend to practice and exchange Portuguese.  However, I have almost NO knowledge of Portuguese at all yet, so hopefully someone that knows how to explain the very basics to me!  I speak high level Spanish, and am an American English teacher for all levels.
