EF - English teachers for adult classes
Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Spain, Barcelona
Start Date: 16th July for training


EF English Centers is looking for a teacher to join our growing schools in Barcelona. This will initially be for approximately 10 hours per week as the base contract. In reality there will be considerably more hours available to cover for teachers when they are on annual leave. As such we are looking for a teacher who would be able to take on these additional hours. More hours will be added to the base contract a as the centers grow. 

Job Role

A teacher is responsible, on an individual and team basis, for providing students with a variety of services that enable students to reach their personal needs and objectives within the educational services framework. They will actively collaborate with all center staff to provide a welcoming and professional environment to everyone and a positive learning experience for students

Roles and Responsibilities

•	Provides students with relevant and engaging lessons tailored to enable them to reach their personal needs and objectives.
•	Actively participates in any required observations and feedback sessions, training, development meetings and informational meetings.
•	Develops and delivers in-center and city wide Life Clubs as required.
•	Develops and uses supplementary material within EF guidelines to support learning needs and objectives.
•	Liaises, supports and collaborates with all staff tasked with providing study feedback and support to students.
•	Provides placement tests and demo classes for students
•	Assists the Centre Education Manager in product testing


Key operational requirements
•	Saturdays 9:30/10:40 to 15:30 – every other Saturday
•	Initially 1 or 2 evenings (17:30-21:30) and 1 or 2 mornings (8:30-15:30) per week
•	Availability to provide coverage when peers are on vacation
•	Willingness to take on more hours as the center grows

Requirements

•	EU passport holder or right to work in Spain (required)
•	1+ year experience of teaching adult learners (required)
•	120 Hour TEFL Certificate with 6 hours of teaching practice; CELTA/CertTESOL (preferred)
