ENGLISH MONITORS FOR SCHOOL PROJECTS
Opportunities:
During the school year:
? English Camps 2 to 5 day school camps in a Hostel as a monitor taking care of activities, excursions and games in English with the students.
? School Projects 3, 4, 5 mornings in schools teaching all the subjects in English through a topic. The students will prepare an oral presentation for the last Friday.
? Day Out One day out as a monitor taking care of activities, excursions and games in English with the students.
Profile:
? Native English speaker with experience in education or very high level of English with certification of “Monitor o Director de Lleure”.
? Someone interested in working with 4 to 16 years old children, who can offer a child centred approach and giving the group a safe and positive experience that they will enjoy and remember.
? Responsible and active person, creative and with initiative ready to work hard and committed to doing an excellent job, taking care of the children.
? Ready to speak and teach English during the camp to the students, whilst having fun and enjoying the experience.
? Must have NIE and/or working permit for EU. (please refrain from applying if you cannot be legally hired)
? Must have the “Certificado de no delitos sexuales” (criminal records) from the home country and from Spain.
Tasks:
? Taking part in a 3, 4 or 5 day camp teaching, playing, taking care of the children and living there.
? Monitoring the group and collaborating with the staff
? Teaching English. Helping the children to learn English and teaching them in the camps with classes
? Speak English and encourage the students to practice their English
? Explain and lead outdoor and indoor activities and dynamics, gymkhanas, proposing games…
? Prepare material for the activities if needed
? Supervise the group during the hours they are not with their school teachers
