THE ROLE
We are looking for committed, dynamic and creative native English speakers to work as a Language Assistant in a SECONDARY Spanish school. The role of the assistant is to aid in improving teaching and secondary student communication in English for 26 classroom hours (usually distributed from 8:00 to 17:00) per week from Monday to Friday.

General tasks include:
- Assist in whole class alongside main teacher or individually with groups of students.
- Help with questions related to pronunciation and forming sentence structures.
- Assist with the preparation of classes or help to prepare complementary material and activities such as dialogues, quizzes, reading exercises, games, audiovisual activities, presentations, preparing displays.
- Help with the preparation of oral exams
- Speaking practice with teachers and reinforcing language structure with them, explaining areas of grammar and other complexities of the English language.
- Conduct extracurricular tutorials and workshops for the students.

WHAT WE OFFER
- Continuous support and feedback from the assigned tutor/mentor in the school and by the programme organizers
- A contract of 26 hrs as coverversation assistant of 1209euros Brut per month.

PRE-SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
- Native English Speaker (the ability to speak Spanish is not required) and have completed AT LEAST ONE of the following and pass a Selection Test:
Option 1: Graduated from university in a subject related to education, psychology or linguistics.
Option 2: Graduated from university in other subject + TEFL Certificate (or similar).
Option 3: Graduated from university in other subject + proven experience in an educational setting of minimum 6 months. (preferable with secondary students )
- To be right to work in Spain (have a NIE, Work Visa or EU passport).
- No prior criminal convictions.
- Enthusiasm for working with children and encourage them to speak in English.
- An adaptable attitude and the ability to socialize and interact with people.
- Desire to live in a foreign country and make the most of the experience.
