STEM TEACHER

Located in La Moraleja, in the northern area of Madrid, Vermont Academy @ Liceo Europeo is an American high school that offers a balanced approach to learning in a diverse and inclusive environment with class sizes that average from 10-15 students per class.
Our teachers provide an education that is both challenging and supportive. They work to ensure that students become active and curious learners – and are both local and global citizens fully prepared for future endeavors and challenges. 
Vermont Academy @ Liceo Europeo seeks an inspiring STEM teacher who develops students’ inquiring minds and gives them the hands-on math skills. 
Teachers are encouraged to immerse students in collaborative learning experiences, critical thinking skills, and evidence-based explanations.
The philosophy of the STEM department aims to engage the students in real world problems, allows them to explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate their own findings. STEM has evolved from a content-based focus to a performance-based program where students learn content through interactive inquiry-based activities, lab projects and discussionsions. 
The position requires maintaining a full teaching load, serving as an advisor to a small cohort student, and active support of various student life activities.
